Digital signage can be a hungry beast and if you don’t feed it good content, it will wither and die.
So you work on your message to make sure it’s relevant and you update your content often to keep it fresh… but how much time do you actually spend on the presentation itself?
The best communicators will tell you it’s important to shake things up every now and then. Keep your layouts and your designs fresh, just as you do your content. Update layouts periodically to retain your audience’s attention and keep them coming back for more.
So where can you turn to for inspiration?
Google is a good place to start. I also like to check out stock image web sites like Shutterstock or Fotolia. Pinterest can also be a good source of inspiration as well and so is YouTube.
Sometimes you just need a new color scheme so I recommend the Adobe Color CC online tool. It’s great for picking new colors for your templates or for any presentation material.
Remember that you don’t have to redo all your layouts from scratch. Sometimes a quick color change or a new graphical element is enough to create a new look that will attract attention.
