CONNECTEDSIGN GOES BIG IN 2014; WINS NATIONAL AWARD FOR DIGITAL SIGNAGE DEPLOYMENT IN WORLD’S LARGEST INDOOR SPORTS FACILITYPosted On January 7th, 2014 By Brigitte Bucklin
ConnectedSign, LLC hit a homerun to start the new year, landing a spot in the prestigious 2014 DIGI Awards for Best Deployment in Entertainment for Spooky Nook Sports Complex. This is our fourth time to be recognized for their work on a national level. Digital signage played a pivotal role in the launch of what is currently the world’s largest indoor sports facility located in Manheim, PA. ConnectedSign provided a full service, site-wide digital signage solution that appears in each facet of the 700,000 square foot complex, including the recreational spaces, foodservice areas, retail store, and conference rooms.
“ConnectedSign’s digital displays enhance the customer’s experience when they enter our facility. The displays help with overall internal branding to make this vast business come together as a whole. These high quality screens look extremely professional and help organize and control large crowds of people. We are still learning about the screens’ capabilities and have yet to use them to their full potential. However, there’s no telling what they can do for the brand of our evolving sports, entertainment and events complex,” said Stephanie Jordan, Marketing Manager at Spooky Nook Sports.
The beautiful digital displays and content instantly make the building’s atmosphere modernized and give the space a technology-based edge. When walking through the facility, it becomes evident that the screens are much more important than eye-catching installations. ConnectedSign’s content creation has become essential to communication for the entire production. The screens provide food options, field assignments, advertising, facility information, upcoming events and more for the thousands of visitors at Spooky Nook Sports. ConnectedSign selected NEC Display Solutions, an award winning display technology provider, for the hardware portion of the project at Spooky Nook.
“We applaud ConnectedSign’s 2014 DIGI Award in the entertainment category for its creative work at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex,” said Richard Ventura, Vice President of Product Marketing and Solutions at NEC Display Solutions. “NEC has built its reputation on innovation, and ConnectedSign’s work using NEC display technologies at this sports facility has taken digital signage to new heights. The winning project has established ConnectedSign as an industry leader in digital signage applications.”
Be on the lookout for more big plays from our fast-growing company in the coming year. We will continue contributing to Spooky Nook’s plan for expansion and growth, including a state-of-the-art hotel that will house floor after floor of digital screens to direct and inform visitors. ConnectedSign presently cultivates a strong working relationship with Spooky Nook for on-going, day-to-day content creation and technical support.
