The Crystal Coast Tourism Center wanted to modernize the visitor experience at its Morehead City and Emerald Isle locations.
Traditional paper maps provided basic information but offered limited opportunities for visitors to explore everything the surrounding coastal communities had to offer.
The Tourism Center needed a more engaging way to showcase destinations, activities, events, and local attractions while creating a memorable experience for visitors.
Solution
ConnectedSign developed an interactive digital signage experience designed to help visitors explore the Crystal Coast.
Each location was equipped with a 2×4 video wall and a 65-inch interactive touchscreen display. ConnectedSign also provided extensive content design and development services to create an intuitive visitor experience featuring customized maps, imagery, video, and destination information.
Visitors can select beach locations directly from the touchscreen to explore related videos and images or access the Crystal Coast website for current activities and events.
Large-format video walls complement the interactive experience with immersive footage highlighting beaches, fishing, celebrations, attractions, and the surrounding coastal landscape.
Results
Crystal Coast Tourism Center replaced static visitor information with a more engaging and interactive way to showcase the region.
Visitors can now explore destinations and activities at their own pace while the Tourism Center has a visually compelling platform for promoting the many experiences available throughout the Crystal Coast.
