Employee Communications Gets Promoted

Not all employees work at computers.  Many staffers technical and non-technical work on plant floors, assembly areas and other types of service positions.  Medical, production, transportation and hospitality are just a few of the industries that rely on a mobile staff.  For many companies, it is critical to be able to support and communicate with these employees effectively.

Digital Signage presents a solution to the employee communication problem where none existed before.  Many ingredients are part of a solid employee communications plan.  Print and verbal communications are not as reliable as many Human Resource departments would like.  With a Digital Signage system, employers are able to increase the frequency and impact of their messages.

Recently our company setup a Digital Signage Employee Communications system for a large medical center.  They wished to support their staff with multiple languages and a complete communication system to reach out to the many different factions among the staff.  Physicians, nurses, administration and management staff, even janitorial and maintenance staff were included in the effort.

Using Digital Signage they were able to promote events and recognize employees with great frequency.  They even setup an area on their internal website that allowed staff to upload digital pictures.  One month would be Pet month and mixed in with the regular content would be a picture of a doctor and his five Labradors, a nurse and her two cats, etc.  The next month would be cutest baby month.  The Human Resource department said that not only did the system help promote team-building, but it also helped them to combat “class-isim”.  Something that they could not have achieved with any other mediums combined.

The ability to make changes and reflect those changes instantly is what makes Digital Signage so powerful.  While the retail marketplace is the largest user of Digital Signage, we focus on the solution that answers the exact needs of our customer.
